I wish to order digital copies of archival material

While in the reading room you are free to use your mobile phone or specific types of scanners to photograph or scan archival material for your own personal use (free of charge (PDF, 91 KB)). In addition we provide two large-scale scanners for which you will need a prepaid card.

If you wish to publish your own photographs or scans, you are required to obtain permission from the Kriegsarchiv. This permission is liable to a fee.

In case you want us to produce high-quality and, if necessary, large-size digital reproductions of material which you have consulted in the reading room please use our application form (PDF, 128 KB). These reproductions are provided in the shape of TIFF or JPEG files with a maximum resolution of 400 dpi and are delivered by WeTransfer.

Non-digitised archival material which you have not examined or seen in person will only be digitised on your behalf if you are able to provide exact and correct reference numbers (“Archivsignaturen”) and on a limited scale.
